Kajol wishes Aditya Chopra

Actress Kajol celebrated the 54th birthday of filmmaker Aditya Chopra in a charming and intimate way.

Aditya, who dislikes cameras and the spotlight, got a very kind birthday greeting from Kajol via her Instagram Stories.

“Since u hate getting ur picture taken just thought I would wish u a very happy birthday on a blank page instead! Happy happy birthday #adityachopra,” she wrote, capturing both humour and affection in a message that reflects their warm off-screen camaraderie.

Aditya Chopra, the eldest son of renowned filmmakers Yash and Pamela Chopra, was born on May 21, 1971. Uday Chopra, his younger brother, is well-known for his acting and producing career. Aditya is a member of one of the most powerful film dynasties in India, having ties to both Karan Johar and Ravi Chopra in addition to being the nephew of renowned filmmakers B.R. Chopra and Yash Johar.

Aditya started his career in filmmaking at the age of 18, developing as an assistant director on films like Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991), and Darr (1993) under his father's tutelage. He made his directorial debut at the age of 24 with the seminal Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), which not only became a box office success but also transformed Hindi cinema.

Since assuming leadership of Yash Raj Films (YRF) in 2012, Aditya has led the studio into a new era. YRF was established by his father in 1970. Aditya is renowned for being media-shy and has rarely given interviews or made public appearances, despite having an incredible career spanning more than thirty years.

By providing a glimpse into the YRF legacy through his infrequent on-screen appearance in the Netflix documentary series The Romantics, he broke that trend in 2023.

On the work front, Aditya Chopra is currently concentrating on his next project, War 2, which is a part of the growing YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani star in the eagerly awaited movie, which will be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi on August 14, 2025.

Both fans and critics have high expectations for the teaser, which was released on Jr. NTR's 42nd birthday.
