Kajol pays emotional tribute to her uncle Deb Mukherjee, says, "I’m still adjusting..."

Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, took his last breath on Thursday, March 14, following a long struggle with age-related health complications. Deb Mukherjee's sudden demise saddened his family and loved ones. His niece, actress Kajol, attended his last rites yesterday and was devastated by the news.

However, Kajol has recently taken to her Instagram handle and paid a touching tribute to her uncle. The actress shared a photo with Deb Mukherjee and mourned his demise in the caption.

Kajol recalled her visit to Durga Puja pandals and wrote, “Tradition said that every Durga Puja we would click pictures together. When we were all dressed up and looking good.” The actress added, “I’m still adjusting to the thought of a world without him. To one of the finest men that I’ve ever known.”

The actress concluded her caption while writing, “Rest in peace. You will be loved, remembered and missed every day of my life.” She added, “#debumukerji #youareloved.”

In the photo, Kajol posed with her late uncle Deb Mukherjee at the Durga Puja pandal. The actress sported a pink colored organza saree while Deb Mukherjee donned a blue traditional Kurta. The duo smiled for the cameras.

Soon after Kajol shared the post, several Bollywood celebrities and fans chimed into the comment section to extend her condolences. Esha Deol commented, "Deepest condolences. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti."
