Junior Twitter review: Kireeti Reddy, Sreeleela and Genelia's comedy-drama receives mixed response, netizens call it "fairly average"

The film which released in theatres today (July 18), received a mixed response from the audiences.

Kireeti Reddy, son of BJP leader Gali Janardhan Reddy, made his acting debut with the Telugu film Junior, which stars him alongside Sreeleela and marks Genelia Deshmukh’s return to Telugu cinema after a long hiatus.

The film which released in theatres today (July 18), received a mixed response from the audiences.

Many users expressed their opinions about Junior on X. Some were disappointed by the film's poor script and mediocre execution, while others commended Kireeti's performance in his first appearance and the dance scenes he and Sreeleela performed. Some viewers also shared about feeling disengaged from the story.

Trying to project him as a big star will always backfire. #Junior is an all mixed fruit juice, with many films being brought in to make this one film with no proper character building or emotional connect. Directed by Radhakrishna Reddy, Junior revolves around a touching father-son bond shared between Kireeti and veteran actor V. Ravichandran, who portrays his father. Alongside Kireeti, Sreeleela, and Ravichandran, the film also features an ensemble cast including Genelia Deshmukh, Rao Ramesh, Sudharani, and several others.
