Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, made his big-screen debut in the rom-com Loveyapa alongside newcomer Khushi Kapoor. Following the film’s release on February 7, 2025, his sister Ira Khan shared a heartfelt note on social media, applauding his debut performance.

Taking to Instagram, Ira shared photos with Junaid and father Aamir Khan alongside the film's poster and wrote in the caption, "Junnu on the big screen!!If you knew Junaid personally, you’d realize just how good of an actor he is playing this role! The whole cast has done a great job. Genuinely. From the little roles to the big ones! Junaid and @khushikapoor are such good on-screen cry-ers! Go watch Loveyappa in theatres now!!"

Loveyapa follows a the story of a Gen Z couple, Baani Sharma (Khushi Kapoor) and Gaurav Sachdeva (Junaid Khan), whose secret relationship comes to light when Baani’s father, Atul (Ashutosh Rana), catches them talking on the phone. With their love now exposed, Atul decides to test Gaurav before giving his approval for marriage. He presents an unusual condition—Baani and Gaurav must exchange their unlocked phones for an entire night. If they successfully endure this challenge, they earn his blessing to wed.

For those unfamiliar, both Junaid and Khushi initially made their acting debuts on OTT platforms—Junaid in Maharaj and Khushi in The Archies, which failed to leave a lasting impact.
