Josh Brolin, who famously played the role of iconic villain Thanos, is ready to return to Marvel Studios. He is currently promoting his latest horror mystery, Weapons, and during the promotions, he was asked if he would reprise his role of Thanos in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Brolin informed Josh Horowitz that he is ready to return to the role of the Mad Titan as soon as the Russo brothers ask.
He said, “The Thanos thing, if they called me in London right now, and said, 'Let's do this,' I'd be like, 'I'll be there tomorrow.’” He added, "I talk to [Robert Downey Jr.] probably four to six times a year. I talk to the Russos probably four to six times a week. I talk to Joe a lot. I love both of them."
However, he didn’t confirm that he will star in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday or its follow-up Avengers: Secret Wars, but admitted that he is looking forward to the Marvel movies.
Brolin said, “Of course they're going to come up with something fun. Who knows? That was a 10-year in-the-building kind of thing, and that was its own bookended deal. I don't know what they're going to do, but I'm sure it will be interesting. I think they do that very, very well."
For the unversed, Josh Brolin's character Thanos died not once but twice in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Meanwhile, fans are expecting his return as Doomsday and Secret Wars, acting as the culmination of Marvel's Multiverse saga.
