Jana Nayagan actor Bobby Deol dubs his co-star Thalapathy Vijay "Very simple, down to earth"

Bollywood star Bobby Deol is all set to star alongside Thalapathy Vijay in the upcoming Tamil film, Jana Nayagan. However, the actor has recently showered some praise about Thalapathy.

During the green carpet interview at IIFA Awards 2025 in Jaipur, Bobby told PTI that Vijay is a simple and down-to-earth person. The actor said, “Thalapathy Vijay is a sweetheart. Very simple, down to earth.”

Bobby has starred in Tamil film, Kanguva and Telugu movie Daaku Maharaaj. The actor also reflected on working in a different industry. He claimed that only the language of the film changes and the style of working remains the same. He further noted, “I like doing characters that are out of my comfort zone, challenging.”

Bobby Deol’s upcoming film is rumored to be Vijay's last before he reportedly transitions his career from acting to full-time politics. The highly anticipated film, formerly known as 'Thalapathy 69', has been officially titled Jana Nayagan to mark Republic Day 2025. Vijay stars Pooja Hegde in the lead. Meanwhile, Bobby Deol takes on the role of the antagonist.

The film's ensemble cast also includes Mamita Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and others. Anirudh has composed the music, with H. Vinoth serving as director. Although an official release date for Jana Nayagan is yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest it may hit theaters in October this year or during next year's Pongal festival.
