Superstar Jackie Chan has wrapped up filming for his upcoming action thriller The Shadow’s Edge, as per latest reports.

Filming for The Shadow’s Edge, directed by Chinese filmmaker Larry Yang, began in October 2024 in Macau.

Set against the vibrant, neon-filled streets of Macau, The Shadow’s Edge features Jackie Chan as a seasoned surveillance expert. After being brought out of retirement by the local police, he is assigned the responsibility of guiding a group of sharp young detectives to track down a cunning gang of thieves that has been outsmarting the authorities.

In addition to Jackie Chan, The Shadow’s Edge features a talented ensemble cast, including Zhang Zifeng, Seventeen's Jun, and Ci Sha, who play key roles in the film.

On January 16, 2025, the filmmakers revealed the first look of The Shadow’s Edge, featuring Jackie Chan in a tense moment, hiding behind a wall with a gun in hand. Opposite him stands Tony Leung Ka-Fai, poised for an attack, while Jun can be seen at the far end of the corridor.

This collaboration marks the second time Jackie Chan and Larry Yang have worked together, following their successful partnership on Ride On. The film was released globally in over 30 countries, becoming the highest-grossing Chinese film in Japan since 2022 and ranking among the top three highest-grossing Chinese films in Malaysia in 2023.

Jackie Chan is also reuniting with Tony Leung Ka-Fai, nearly two decades after their last collaboration in The Myth. Leung is currently starring in Tsui Hark's upcoming film Legends of the Condor Heroes.
