The rumors began when industry insider MyTimeToShineHello shared a post suggesting that Lee is being considered for an undisclosed role in the MCU. This was not the first time such a rumor surfaced, as there were similar speculations in 2022. Comic Book Movie also reported this news on January 2, 2025, which further fueled the buzz. Many fans believe that Lee could play a major role in the MCU, particularly after his impressive performance as Jedi Master Sol in The Acolyte series.
