Ibrahim Ali Khan made his Bollywood debut with Nadaniyaan alongside Khushi Kapoor earlier this year. But he faced a lot of criticism soon after the release. With his latest ad video, the actor has gracefully embraced his own imperfection show as he dubbed with his own voice, which has a lisp.
Ibrahim shared the video clip of a brand endorsement on Instagram, which won the hearts of the netizens as he is seen speaking in his original voice. Ibrahim can be seen telling the people that it’s okay if they are imperfect.
He says, “Some people are born gifted, and some, born imperfect. As for me, I was born imperfect. And that’s okay, man. Perfection is just overrated yaar.”
The caption of the post read, “For the longest time, I thought I had to ‘get it right’. Turns out, what’s real is far more powerful than what’s perfect. This is me, Wrogn but real.”
Fans and netizens quickly flooded the comment section with heaps of praise for Ibrahim for showing rawness and real personality in the video. One fan wrote, "So rare to see honesty like this in campaigns. Feels relatable and real." Another comment read, "In an era where filter and fakeness rule, it's inspiring to see authenticity take the spotlight." A comment also pointed out, "Absolutely inspiring. More power to you." A user shared, "It takes a lot of courage to say this. And a lot many people will come to realise that it’s okay to be imperfect and just be themselves."
For those who may not know, Ibrahim received heavy criticism after the release of Nadaniyaan, as many viewers were unhappy that his scenes were dubbed with a different voice and pointed out the poor lip-syncing.
But after his recent appearance in the ad promo in which he own up his voice and his lisp, he is being immensely appreciated by the viewers for his honesty.
On the work front, Ibrahim was last seen in Sarzaamen alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol. It is streaming on JioHotstar.
