Hrithik Roshan pays tribute to his 'first teacher' Rajinikanth ahead of War 2 and Coolie release clash, shares unseen pic

Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for his highly anticipated spy action thriller, War 2, which will be facing tough competition with Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Both films are releasing on August 14, and Hrithik has sent his best wishes to the South superstar, Rajinikanth.

Hrithik took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle and called Rajinikanth 'an inspiration and a standard'. He also called Rajinikanth one of his first teachers and continued to be an inspiration.

Hrithik tweeted, "Took my first steps as an actor at your side.” While reminiscing about sharing screen with Rajinikanth in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada as a child actor, alongside the veteran actor Rajinikanth, he added, “You were one of my first teachers, @rajinikanth sir, and continue to be an inspiration and a standard.”

Hrithik then gave a shout-out to his legacy and on-screen magic as Rajinikanth completes 50 years in the Indian film industry. He concluded, “Congratulations on completing 50 years of on-screen magic!”

War 2 star Hrithik Roshan stunned fans with a moving exercise in humility, earning him accolades as "the most secure Indian actor." As he himself promoted his own upcoming film, Hrithik took time out to extend congratulations to superstar Rajinikanth, hailing not just his success but also Indian cinema and Rajinikanth's enduring legacy.

In another tweet, Hrithik continued, “The Most Secure Indian Actor - EVER! Always championing the cause of film industry solidarity. Respect!"

In War 2, Hrithik reprised his role as Major Kabir, the audience favourite from the 2019 blockbuster War, which was the biggest grosser of that year. The sequel will be the sixth part of YRF's Spy Universe and will feature Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, and Kiara Advani in lead roles.

Ayan Mukerji is directing the film, and Aditya Chopra is producing it under Yash Raj Films. War 2 will release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
