Within 48 hours of its release, Bollywood's most recent blockbuster, War 2, smashed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office and stands at a total of Rs 142.35 Crore till now. Fans have showered the film with love, packed theatres, and thunderous applause.
It was directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced under Yash Raj Films' growing Spy Universe.
Leading lady Kiara Advani, who stars in the high-octane thriller, took to Instagram to acknowledge the audience’s overwhelming support. Sharing a still from the film, she wrote:
“Your love speaks the loudest. seeing your smiles, your cheers, your excitement fills our hearts with joy. #War2 in cinemas.”
Her note reflects the excitement surrounding the film and the way its success has been amplified by the fans’ energy in theatres and on social media.
Hrithik Roshan, reprising his much-loved role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, also shared an emotional note with his followers. He posted, “In Kabir’s world, battles may be won.. but the war goes on. A character that came to life in 2019, has only fueled my fire as an Actor & Entertainer. Witnessing all your cheers & celebrations in cinema halls, only makes Kabir taller and my heart fuller. Kabir was and always will be one of my most cherished on-screen characters. Thank you for all your love & well-wishes for #War2 and Kabir.”
His words highlight the deep connection both he and the audience feel with Kabir, a character that has become central to the YRF Spy Universe.
The film also marks the highly anticipated Bollywood debut of Jr NTR, who steps into the role of elite agent Vikram. Expressing his delight, he wrote:

With an incredible opening of Rs 55.79 crore on Independence Day, War 2 brought its India net collection to Rs 107.29 crore in just two days and earned Rs 33 crore on its 1st Saturday. The movie is already being praised as one of the biggest spectacles of the year because of its global action, heart-pounding stunts, and strong star cast.
