Ace producer and businessman Ronnie Screwvala has entered the Forbes' 2025 Billionaires List with a net worth of whopping $1.5 billion. He has now surpassed the combined wealth of the three Khans - Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. The trio's collective net worth stands at $1.38 billion, according to Bollywood Hungama.
With this Screwvala becomes the richest person in Bollywood.
Ronnie Screwvala has built his fortune through production and strategic business ventures unlike the Khans, who made it via their acting and fame.
Ronnie Screwvala was born and brought up in Mumbai. After studying commerce, 68 -year-old Ronnie started his career in the 1970s with a toothbrush manufacturing company. In the 1980s, he dabbled in entertainment by starting cable television, then in 1990, he established UTV.
Ronnie Screwvala has produced many iconic and big Bollywood films like SRK's Swades, Aamir Khan's Rang De Basanti and Hrithik Roshan- Aishwarya Rai starrer Jodhaa Akbar.
In 2012, he sold UTV to Disney for over a billion dollars.
After that, he started making movies again in 2017 under RSVP Movies banner, where he produced successful films including Kedarnath and Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Not many know that a big chunk of his wealth comes from outside the film industry.
Ronnie is an investor in companies such as UpGrad, Usports and Unliazer.
The sources of Shah Rukh Khan's $770 million wealth are his production company Red Chillies Entertainment, his acting career, and his ownership of the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team.
For Salman Khan, who is worth $390 million, acting, production projects, and hosting Bigg Boss are his main sources.
Aamir Khan, known for selective but massive hits like Dangal, holds a more modest $220 million, Bollywood Hungama further reported.
Even if the Khans' combined net worth is $1.38 billion, Ronnie Screwvala's $1.5 billion demonstrates how carefully considered commercial ventures may outperform profits driven by celebrity.
