Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh starrer comedy drama Housefull 5 is enjoying a successful run at the Box office despite getting mixed reviews from the audience. The film opened with Rs 24 crore net in India and saw a surge during its first weekend.
According to Sacnilk, Housefull 5 grossed around Rs 32.00 crore net in India on its third day for all languages. The film had an overall 39.52% Hindi occupancy on its first Sunday. Akshay Kumar’s film box office collection now stands at Rs 87 crore net in India in three days.
The film's opening box office record notably surpassed the collection of the first instalment and beat Akshay Kumar’s recent releases like Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2.
The comedy drama was released on Friday, June 6, and saw a jump, earning Rs 31 crore on its second day, generating a total of Rs 55 crore at the domestic box office. The film is now inching towards the Rs 100 crore mark and is expected to see a surge in the collection during the first Monday.
Akshay is widely promoting his recently released film. He was recently seen outside the Bandra theatre asking for the audience’s reviews. However, he goes undercover in a mask and leaves the location before anyone can identify him.
Housefull 5 also features Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Sanjay Dutt, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Chitrangada Singh, Ranjeet, Nikitin Dheer, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma in pivotal roles.
The comedy thriller is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film has notably been released in two versions, Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, with two different endings, which is generating a significant buzz among the fans.
