Actor Vishal Jethwa is currently living out a dream that has been in the works for years as he goes to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival with his mother, Preeti Jethwa, who is the most important person in his life.

The young actor, who will soon be seen in the highly anticipated movie Homebound, is relishing every second of this experience, which is made even more special by being able to share it with his mother while she travels abroad for the first time.

Vishal posted a touching collection of images from their trip to Instagram, showcasing unscripted and happy moments while travelling to France. The pictures depict the mother-son pair having a great time travelling, sharing meals, watching films, drinking and sleeping during the journey.

Vishal kisses his mother on the cheek in one of the most heartwarming photos, and the two of them laugh together in another, obviously enjoying the once-in-a-lifetime moment.

In his emotional caption, Vishal opened up about how long he had waited for a moment like this. He wrote in Hindi, "Bachpan se sapna tha ki ek din flight mein baithunga. Phir yeh sapna dekha ki ek baar zaroor videsh ghumunga. Aur in sabse bada ek aur sapna tha ki ek din apni mummy ko flight mein videsh ghumaane le jaunga," reflecting his childhood dreams of travelling, going abroad, and, most importantly, taking his mother with him.

He went on to say, "Cannes attend karne se bhi badi khushi yeh hai ki main apni mummy ke saath Cannes attend kar raha hoon," emphasising that attending the festival is special, but sharing it with his mother is what truly brings him joy.

Vishal also took a moment to express his deep gratitude to his fans, acknowledging their constant support. "Aap sabhi ke pyaar aur support ke liye dil se bohot bohot dhnyavad. ye sab aap logon ke pyaar ke bina kabhi bhi possible nhi ho paata. dil se aap sabka shukriya," he wrote.

Vishal co-stars with Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in the Neeraj Ghaywan-directed and Karan Johar-produced film Homebound. Vishal's career-defining moment will be further weighed by the fact that the film will be screened on May 21 in Cannes' "Un Certain Regard" section, with renowned Hollywood director Martin Scorsese serving as executive producer.
