The excitement around the 2026 Grammy Awards continues to build, and one of the biggest reasons is the confirmation that multi-Grammy winner Bruno Mars will be taking the stage on Sunday night.
The Recording Academy made the announcement on Friday, immediately sending fans into speculation mode — largely because no details have been shared about what exactly Bruno Mars plans to perform.
What makes his appearance even more intriguing is the moment he is having this awards season. Bruno Mars is nominated for three major Grammys this year — Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance — all for “APT.”, his widely praised collaboration with Blackpink singer Rose.
Rose has also been announced as a performer, though notably, the two artists were revealed separately. That small detail has only fuelled curiosity, with fans wondering whether the duo will reunite on stage or if Bruno Mars has something entirely different planned.
The timing of his Grammy performance feels especially significant. Earlier this month, Bruno Mars released “I Just Might”, the lead single from his upcoming album “The Romantic”, which is set to arrive on 27 February.
With a new era clearly beginning, the Grammy stage offers the perfect moment for him to showcase what’s next — whether through a high-energy crowd-pleaser, a stripped-back performance, or a surprise debut.

This year’s Grammys are shaping up to be a star-studded affair. The performer lineup already includes Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Tyler, the Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, Clipse, Pharrell Williams, Post Malone, Reba McEntire, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, The Marías, and Alex Warren, among others. Emotional moments are also expected, with Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark, and Lukas Nelson performing during the In Memoriam segment. Ms. Lauryn Hill will honour D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, while a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne will feature Post Malone, Watt, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith.
The 68th Grammy Awards will air live at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, with Trevor Noah returning as host for the sixth — and final — time. Ahead of the main ceremony, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will stream live from the Peacock Theater at 12:30 p.m. PT on live.Grammy.com.
