The popular cult comedy Hera Pheri is returning with a thrilling third instalment in the franchise and the announcement created a buzz among the audience. However, the makers have just increased the excitement among the eager fans with the latest update of Hera Pheri 3 shooting.

Filmmaker Priyadarshan has recently revealed that he has planned to start writing the script for Hera Pheri 3 sometime next year. However, the latest reports have suggested that the actors have already filmed the first scene of the film.

A source has recently confirmed to Hindustan Times that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal have filmed the first scene of Hera Pheri 3 today.

The source said, “Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot today with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles.”

The sequel was unexpectedly announced during Priyadarshan's birthday celebration, leaving the nationwide fans excited. The project had previously stalled due to legal issues and production changes, but Priyadarshan is now back to production in full swing.

The filmmaker has recently noted, “I was very confident that Hera Pheri would work, but I never expected it to become a cult film. It had decent humour and excellent performances.”

The third instalment of Hera Pheri gets the green light 19 years after the second film (2006) and 24 years after the first film (2000). The highly anticipated will has a few new additions in the cast, including Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.
