Sony SAB is stepping into larger than-life territory with its newest show, Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey. The show will explore an epic saga that dives deep into the untold story of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and their sons, Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikey.
Touted as one of Indian television’s most ambitious mythological dramas, the show doesn’t just recreate divine grandeur but also emphasizes the bonds of family. The makers say it’s a mix of spectacle, scale, and emotion, something mytho lovers and family audiences both might latch on to.
The cast is as starry as the concept. Mohit Malik will be seen donning the role of Lord Shiva, Shrenu Parekh takes on Goddess Parvati, Ayudh Bhanushali steps into the shoes of Lord Ganesha, and Subhan Khan will play Lord Kartikey.
Mohit Malik, speaking about the project, summed it up simply: “At its core, Ganesh Kartikey is the story of a divine family - Shiva, Parvati, and their sons, Ganesh and Kartikey. Through Shiva and Parvati’s bond with their children, the show explores what every parent experiences be it the joy of love, the pain of conflict, and the hope of keeping the family together. I feel truly blessed to be part of a story that not only celebrates devotion but also highlights the beauty of relationships and the strength of togetherness.”
Sony SAB is clearly going all-in with this one. From sweeping visual grandeur to a storyline built around mythology and human emotions, Ganesh Kartikey is being positioned as more than just another mythological show, it’s meant to be an experience.
The channel hasn’t revealed a final launch date yet, but buzz suggests it will hit screens soon. For now, the team is keeping the anticipation high.
