Ranveer Allahbadia and Sarang Sathaye controversy

Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia's remarks on Samay Raina's India’s Got Latent, the widely-followed Marathi YouTube channel BhaDiPa (Bharatiya Digital Party) is also facing backlash.

The channel has been accused of promoting 'filthy' and offensive content on its social media platforms, which has led to a surge in criticism.

In response to the uproar, Sarang Sathaye, the founder of BhaDiPa, has announced the cancellation of the upcoming event that was part of the channel's content strategy.

The accusations against the channel stem from certain videos that viewers have deemed inappropriate. These videos reportedly included controversial and distasteful humor, which has sparked outrage, especially from parents and family-oriented audiences. Following the public uproar, Sathaye expressed regret over the content and acknowledged the need for better scrutiny in their future productions.

“We regret to inform our fans that due to the ongoing controversy, we are postponing the February 14 episode of Atishay Nirlajj Kande Pohe. Anyway, Valentine’s Day gets more hate than love, but we still love our fans. We have taken this decision to ensure that neither our talent nor our audience faces any trouble," the statement read, as quoted by Free Press Journal.

Sathaye further assured that the ticket amount will be refunded soon. “The refund amount will be credited to your bank accounts within 15 days. Use it to buy yourself something nice! We know our fans love us and enjoy our unique style of comedy. That’s why we have introduced exclusive YouTube memberships to access our content," it added.

This controversy comes at a time when Ranveer Allahbadia is also facing significant backlash for his recent remarks on India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, reportedly made an inappropriate comment during a recent episode of the show. He allegedly asked a contestant a distasteful question involving body parts and suggested an indecent act in exchange for a large sum of money. The outrage intensified when Allahbadia posed an unsettling question: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it forever?"

These controversies have also sparked a wider conversation about the line between satire and offensiveness, leaving many to wonder how creators will balance creative freedom with social responsibility moving forward.
