Fahadh Fassil to join Rajinikanth in Nelson Dilipkumar-directed Jailer 2: Report 

Fahadh Fassil and Rajinikanth likely to work together soon

Filming is now taking place in Kerala for Jailer 2, which is expected to be one of the most anticipated films starring Rajinikanth. The iconic actor, who is renowned for his captivating on- and off-screen persona, has recently made headlines for his frequent fan interactions while filming this intense follow-up.

As per reported by Pinkvilla, new rumours have emerged indicating that renowned Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil might soon be joining the ensemble cast of the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film, which would only heighten the excitement. Rumour has it that the Pushpa 2 star will play a crucial and dramatic role that will greatly advance the plot of this police drama, though an official confirmation from the producers is still pending.

For those who don't know, Fahadh and Rajinikanth previously appeared together on screen in the 2024 movie Vettaiyan. Fans of both actors will always remember their collaboration, even though the movie didn't do well at the box office.

The 2023 blockbuster Jailer, in which Rajinikanth played the role of an intense, exaggerated police officer named Muthuvel Pandian, is followed by Jailer 2. It is anticipated that the next movie will explore his iconic character's journey in greater detail. He is joined by a formidable star cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, SJ Suryah, and Mirnaa Menon.

In a recent viral moment, Thalaiva was seen arriving at the film’s set in a luxurious MG Hector SUV valued at around ₹18 lakhs. True to his style, he emerged from the sunroof, greeting his fans with a wave, much to their delight.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also busy with Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. This action-packed multi-starrer, featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, and Shruti Haasan, is set to hit cinemas on 14 August 2025, where it will go head-to-head with the Hindi biggie War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

With multiple major releases lined up, it looks like 2025 is going to be another grand year for the Tamil superstar.
