When it comes to conversations filled with laughter, candid moments, and heartfelt reflections, few people embody these as well as actors Rishab and Abigail Pande. In an exclusive interview with Moneycontrol.com, the dynamic duo shared their inspiring journey, from humble beginnings in television to evolving into versatile actors in films and web series. Here’s a glimpse into their world, complete with their thoughts on love, rejection, and the thrill of acting.

The Humble Beginnings

Both Rishab and Abby started their acting careers at a young age. Reflecting on his early days, Rishab shared, “I was 16 when I landed my first TV role. It was a whirlwind experience. My first audition was for a character who had to cry, and I nailed it! But convincing my dad was another challenge. He was furious, even sending someone to chaperone me on set. I wasn’t sure I wanted to stick with it back then, but here I am.”

Abby also recounted her entry into the industry. “I started working at 15. It was never part of the plan, but life had other ideas. My first role was for a Balaji project. I’ve always believed rejection is just momentary. When I look back, every ‘no’ has led to something better. It’s about finding the lesson in every experience.”

Thriving Amidst Rejection

Both actors believe rejection is an inevitable part of the acting world. Abby revealed, “Rejection is a part and parcel of this profession. I don’t let it get to me because, as an actor, if you start taking it personally, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. You need to stay resilient and focused on the bigger picture.”

The Transition to Films and Web Series

For Rishab, transitioning from TV to films was a deliberate choice. “I always knew I wanted to explore films. TV schedules are intense, and I wasn’t sure if I could do the same thing day in and day out. Films and web series offer more creative freedom and variety, which I love.”

Abby, on the other hand, thrived in the chaotic world of TV. “I love the madness of TV schedules! Everyone is so driven, and the energy is infectious. But I’ve also been careful to choose roles that challenge me and help me grow as an actor.”

On Love and Relationships

When asked about love, Abby described it as a simple yet profound concept. “For me, love is about accepting each other for who you are. It’s as basic as that. There’s no need to complicate it.”

Rishab offered a more poetic take: “Love is an extreme, indescribable feeling. If I can’t find a reason to love someone, that’s enough for me to know it’s real. It’s about depth and connection.”

A Special Bond

The camaraderie between Rishab and Abby was evident throughout the interview. Abby shared, “Rishab has been my biggest supporter. He often pitches my name to directors, and that means the world to me. He believes in my talent, and that’s a rare thing in this industry.”

Rishab added, “Abby and I have a natural dynamic that translates beautifully on screen. Working together feels effortless, and that’s reflected in our performances.”

The Comedy in Seriousness

Both actors are currently working on a romantic comedy series Divorce Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega that delves into the lighter side of serious themes like love and divorce. Abby explained, “Even in a serious situation like divorce, there are moments that make you laugh or remind you of the love you once shared. This show captures that beautifully.”

Rishab chimed in, “The title is brilliant, and the writing is exceptional. It’s a fresh take on relationships, and I think audiences will connect with it.”

Looking Ahead

With a mix of gratitude and determination, both actors expressed their excitement for the future. “Every project teaches you something new,” Abby said. “I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and look forward to exploring even more diverse roles.”

Rishab concluded, “Acting is about evolving, and I’m committed to growing with every role I take on. The journey has just begun, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

As Rishab and Abby continue to inspire with their talent and dedication, their journey serves as a testament to the power of resilience, passion, and belief in oneself. Catch their latest show on ZEE5, and prepare to laugh, cry, and fall in love with their story.
