Actress Jacqueline Fernandez is not a new name in Bollywood, the Sri Lankan beauty has done some significant roles in the industry. In an exclusive conversation with Money Control, Jacqueline reflected on her incredible 16-year journey in the film industry.
From her debut in Aladin to her upcoming projects, including Welcome to the Jungle and Housefull 5, Jacqueline has established herself as one of the most versatile and sought-after actresses in Bollywood. Her dance numbers often become the talk of the town.
During the course of the interaction, Jacqueline spoke about working with A Listers in Bollywood and also she keeps reinventing herself with every new project.
"It has been an incredible journey. Over these years, I’ve evolved both as an actor and as a person. From my first film to now, I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with various genres and work with some of the most talented people in the industry. With every project, I’ve learned something new - whether it’s about the craft, discipline, or pushing my own boundaries. What keeps me going is my love for performing and the drive to constantly reinvent myself. I believe growth comes with experience, and after 16 years, I feel more confident, versatile, and creatively fulfilled than ever," she told us.
Throughout her career, Jacqueline has had the privilege of working with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar.
When asked about her experiences working with A-list actors in the industry, Jacqueline expressed her gratitude and admiration for her co-stars.
"I consider myself really fortunate to have shared screen space with such incredible co-stars. Every actor brings their own style and energy to a film, and I’ve learned so much from each collaboration. The best part of working with a strong ensemble is how much you grow as a performer - it pushes you to elevate your game. I’ve always been open to learning, and these experiences have helped me refine my craft," she said.
Jacqueline's upcoming project, Welcome to the Jungle, which has an ensemble cast promises to be a comic caper that will leave audiences in stitches.
When asked about her experience shooting with the massive cast, Jacqueline said that it was all fun on set and the energy on set was 'infectious.'
"It has been a rollercoaster of fun. When you’re on a set with so many talented and energetic actors, every day is filled with laughter and great moments. The energy on set is infectious, and there’s never a dull moment. Welcome to the Jungle is shaping up to be a complete entertainer, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the madness," she said.

Jacqueline also shared some fun anecdotes from the film's sets, including impromptu dance battles and hilarious pranks between the cast members.
In addition to Welcome to the Jungle, Jacqueline will also be seen in Housefull 5, another comedy film that promises to deliver laughs galore.
When we asked her if she's consciously choosing comedy films, Jacqueline revealed that she enjoys the genre and the opportunity to connect with audiences in a lighthearted way.
"Comedy has been a big part of my career, and I genuinely enjoy it. It’s a genre that allows me to connect with the audience in a fun and lighthearted way. At the same time, I’ve always believed in maintaining a balance by exploring different roles and genres. For me, the most important thing is to be part of projects that excite me and challenge me as an actor," she added.
Recently her dance reel with Sonam Bajwa and Nargis Fakhri on the famous Punjabi song Kala Activa went viral. When asked about the idea behind that reel, Jacqueline said: "It was such a spontaneous and fun moment. Dance has always been a passion of mine, and when I see people enjoying what I put out, it makes it even more special. Social media has given us such a great platform to share these moments, and I love how people connect with them."
As one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood, Jacqueline has managed to stay on top of her game for over a decade.
When asked about the secret to her longevity, Jacqueline emphasized the importance of constantly evolving and staying passionate about her work.
"I think it’s about constantly evolving, staying passionate, and never getting too comfortable. The industry changes so fast, and you have to keep up, reinvent yourself, and push boundaries. I’ve been fortunate to work on projects that resonate with audiences, but I also make sure to challenge myself - whether it’s through my film choices, collaborations, or even international projects."
Speaking of international projects, Jacqueline has worked on several global collaborations, including Kill 'Em All 2 with Jean-Claude Van Damme and music projects with Michele Morrone and Dystinct.
When asked about her experience working on these projects, Jacqueline revealed that it has been an incredible learning experience that has helped her grow as an actor.

"It’s been a fantastic experience! Working on international projects gives you a fresh perspective on filmmaking. Collaborating with artists from different cultures and backgrounds has been an incredible learning experience and has definitely expanded my reach globally."
Jacqueline made her debut with Aladin opposite Ritesh Deshmukh and then went on to work in big films like Murder 2, Kick, Housefull 3, Vikrant Rona and Judwaa.
She was recently seen with Sonu Sood in Fateh, which was a sleeper hit.
