In a new legal issue for Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, the Ghaziabad Police filed a case against him on Tuesday, accusing him of allegedly threatening members of Maneka Gandhi's People for Animals NGO.
The case was registered at Nandgram police station following a court’s directive. This marks another controversy for the popular YouTuber, who has previously been at the center of various public debates.
The incident has sparked further attention, with fans and the media closely monitoring the developments.
A case has also been filed against Elvish Yadav's friend and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Lovekesh Kataria in connection with the same incident.
PFA members Saurabh Gupta and Gaurav Gupta lodged a complaint at Ghaziabad's Nandgram police station, claiming that the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner had threatened them on social media. However, when no action was taken by the police, the pair turned to the court, seeking its intervention in the matter.
The Gupta brothers alleged that in May 2024, Elvish Yadav, along with a few others, forcibly entered their residential society in Noida and conducted a surveillance of the area. Following the incident, PFA filed a police complaint with the Noida police, which led to Yadav's arrest.
After being released on bail, Elvish Yadav allegedly began threatening Saurabh and Gaurav Gupta on social media. On Friday, the court took note of the situation and ordered the Ghaziabad police to file an FIR against Yadav and take appropriate action.
The latest case adds to the ongoing snake venom case, which began on November 3, 2023, when Elvish Yadav and five others were charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC at Noida's Sector 49 police station.
Five individuals were arrested with nine snakes and a 20ml vial of venom. Elvish Yadav was apprehended on March 17, 2024, and released on bail five days later.
