Ed Sheeran, the popular British singer, recently met with Indian music maestro AR Rahman at the KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. This meeting happened just before Sheeran's Chennai concert as part of his six-city India tour. Rahman shared photos of the meeting on Instagram, showing Sheeran, Rahman, and Rahman's son, AR Ameen, together. One picture even showed Sheeran taking a photo of Rahman at his music console. Rahman playfully credited Sheeran as the photographer. Fans are now buzzing with excitement, hoping this meeting might lead to a future musical collaboration between the two artists.

Sheeran's India tour, titled "- = / x India Tour," began in Pune on January 30th. He surprised the crowd by wearing a "Pune" t-shirt, showing his appreciation for the city. During the Pune concert, Sheeran shared his excitement about performing in different Indian cities. He mentioned that his previous India performances were both in Mumbai, and he was thrilled to bring his music to a wider audience this time. He also expressed his love for India, saying that each visit feels like a tourist experience, and he's always grateful for the chance to perform for Indian fans.

The opening act for Sheeran's India tour was Dot., the singer and actress known for her role in "The Archies." After Pune, Sheeran performed in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City on February 2nd, where Indian singer Armaan Malik was the opening act. Sheeran's tour is being produced and promoted by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live. After Chennai, Sheeran will continue his India tour with concerts in Bengaluru, Shillong, and Delhi-NCR.
