The Enforcement Directorate on Friday (November 30) raided the premises of businessman Raj Kundra, the husband of actor Shilpa Shetty, and some others as part of a money laundering case linked to alleged distribution of pornographic content, official sources said.

The search ops were reportedly linked to a money-laundering investigation about the allegations surrounding the production and distribution of pornographic content through mobile applications.

Around 15 locations in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh are being searched, the sources said.

They said the probe pertains to the role of suspects in alleged distribution of pornographic content through mobile applications and other modes.

Mumbai police had filed a case against Raj Kundra in 2021 in connection with the alleged porn production.

Raj Kundra was earlier arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch in July 2021 under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. He was later granted bail from a city court.

This is a developing story, will share more updates.
