Dipika Kakar diagnosed with stage 2 liver tumour, gets emotional and says she’s ready to fight

Popular television actress Dipika Kakar, best known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The news came as a shock to fans, who were updated by the actress herself through an emotional message on social media.

Dipika began her note by sharing the harrowing journey that led to the diagnosis. “As you all are aware, the last few weeks have been quite difficult for us,” she wrote. “Walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out it’s a tennis ball-sized tumour in the liver, and then finding out that the tumour is second-stage malignant (cancerous), it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen and experienced.”

Despite the tough diagnosis, Dipika remains determined and hopeful. “I am all positive, determined to face this and walk out stronger, InshAllah! With my entire family being by my side and all the love and prayers pouring in from all of you, I will sail through this too,” she wrote, showing immense strength and resilience.

Dipika was recently hospitalised after experiencing a high fever and abdominal pain. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, who frequently updates fans through vlogs and social media, had earlier informed followers about her health scare. He mentioned that the symptoms began while Dipika was weaning their son, eventually leading to medical tests and the discovery of the tumour.

In his latest Instagram story, Shoaib shared that Dipika is now feeling better and has returned home. Initially, surgery was considered to remove the tumour, but after evaluating the PET scan results, doctors have currently decided to postpone the operation.
