Dipika Kakar reveals her one-year-old son Ruhaan has understood 'Mumma theek nahi hai'

TV actress Dipika Kakar informed her fans that the tennis ball size tumour in her liver has been diagnosed as Stage 2 Cancer. The Sasural Simar Ka actress informed her fans through her social media handle.

She wrote a brief note informing her fans about her recent health update.

The actress-turned-vlogger had been experiencing abdominal pain for quite some time and that's when she consulted the doctor.

It was her husband and actor Shoaib Akhtar who had informed their fans about the tumour recently. He also announced the impending surgery and confirmed Dipika's hospital admission.

“As you all are aware, last few weeks have been quite difficult for us… walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out it’s a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then finding out that the tumour is second stage malignant (cancerous)… it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen, experienced!," she wrote in her post.

She further wrote: “I am all positive and determined to face this and walk out stronger InshaAllah! With my entire family being by my side… and all the LOVE and PRAYERS pouring in from all of you, I will sail through this too!"

She also shared this worrying update through her YouTube vlog with husband Shoaib Ibrahim.

During the vlog she spoke about the emotional impact the cancer diagnosis has had on their family, especially their son Ruhaan, who is one-and-half-year-old.

“Cancer is a scary word for everybody. Both the patient and the family experience anxiety. However, the doctors have informed me that I caught this illness at a time when it's highly treatable. We are just being strong," she said in the vlog.

Shoaib said in the vlog that their son Ruhaan is 'samajhdaar’ (sensible) and has already sensed that something is wrong. “His feeding has completely stopped," Shoaib said.

Dipika further said: “Mumma theek nahi hai, wo samajh gaya hai. Ek aadh baar din me aake wo bolta hai mujhe, par wo samajh gaya hai. But yes, sab log hain. So, we are staying strong."
