Television actress Dipika Kakar is currently in the hospital as she recovers from her major surgery following a stage 2 liver cancer diagnosis. She underwent a gruelling 14-hour surgery earlier this week.

However, Dipika’s husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, made sure to make festivities special and celebrated Eid al-Adha in the hospital. Shoaib took to his Instagram Story and shared a photo with Dipika.

In the pic, Shoaib and Dipika can be seen holding festive envelopes which were sent by the former’s father. Dipika is in a bed with a hospital wristband labelled ‘Fall Risk’.

Shoaib shared in the caption of the photo, “Dipi aur mere liye papa ki taraf se eidi aaye (Eidi came from papa for Dipi and me),” accompanied by a red heart emoji. He also wished his fans, “Eid Mubarak,” adding a crescent moon and mosque emoji.

The latest post came after Shoaib provided an update on Dipika’s health in his recent vlog. He shared that Dipika is now out of the ICU after being there for three days. He also assured fans that the TV actress’ condition is better now and she would stay in the hospital room for 3 to 5 days, as she had undergone a major surgery.

Deepika was in the operating theatre for 14 hours, which was a very difficult time for him and their family. The couple felt relieved after the latest blood tests showed normal results. They're now waiting for the biopsy report on the tumor that was removed. Shoaib reassured fans that removing part of the liver isn't a major concern since the liver can regrow itself over time.
