Kiran Abbavaram, one of Tollywood's most promising young actors, is back with his latest film 'Dilruba,' directed by Vishwa Karun. Following the massive success of Kiran’s previous blockbuster KA, fans had high hopes.
The film generated considerable buzz, saw strong advance ticket sales, and had high expectations prior to its release. Despite initial hype, the film received scathing reviews for its storyline. Many Twitter users expressed disappointment, labeling Dilruba as just an "average" film, with a slow-paced and tedious first half.
One Twitter user wrote, “Disastrous reviews for #Dilruba - hopefully the lead actor concentrates more on script selection rather than stupid publicity

Meanwhile, another viewer expressed disappointment and confusion as to why Kiran Abbavaram, after delivering an excellent film like KA, would choose to work on what they considered to be mediocre love stories.
One wrote, “After doing an excellent Movie like KA… Don't know why #KiranAbbavaram is working on these 3rd class Love Stories… Not even interested in #DilRuba…”

One viewer sarcastically noted that the makers have spent more on promotional social media posts than on the actual movie making it boring.
Meanwhile, another viewer claimed, “Nobody understood the movie's plot. The director only knows how to make love stories, and Kiran Anna tried to make it commercial, but it didn't work. If Kiran Anna had acted naturally instead of overacting, the movie might have been a flop, but at least it wouldn't have been a disaster like it is now."
Another person complemented Kiran’s acting but left disappointed with the screenplay. The tweet reads, “Yesterday watched #Dilruba Premiere… Movie is Average - One time watch @Kiran_Abbavaram Good Acting but story and Screenplay is so routine.”

One X user penned, "#Dilruba is a boring film with an outdated screenplay. Some ideas are good, but overall, it's a bit irritating at times. Kiran Abbavaram is okay, but story-wise, it's just average, and the screenplay is really outdated."
However, one viewer gave a 2 rating out of 5 while criticizing, “A routine regular outdatedlove drama with un synched forced narration, Yes no connection b/n scene to scene. Below par first half followed by okay second half and that villain role Joker apt for it. good performance from kiran abbavaram… Rating - 2/5.”

Another social media user said, “The first half of #Dilruba is done. The character is good, but the only plus point is Rukshar Dhillon. Everything else is a total scrap. Nobody else can act. This is the worst acting I've seen. What a waste of money! The director and actors are [disappointing].”
