Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan recently made waves on social media with their much-anticipated reunion in a beverage advertisement directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The ad became an instant hit, but behind the scenes, it turns out the two superstars never actually shared the set.
As reported by ETimes, their schedules were too packed to coordinate a joint filming session, leaving the director with no choice but to film their sequences separately and merge them seamlessly in post-production.
An insider shared that the brand had initially hoped to feature both Hrithik and Salman together in the ad, but due to their busy commitments to other projects, it simply wasn’t possible.
“Coordinating their schedules was challenging, as both actors were tied up with their upcoming projects,” the source explained. Ali Abbas Zafar, however, worked his magic, ensuring the two stars appeared together on screen despite never sharing the same location during the shoot.
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan, who was last seen in Fighter, is currently working on War 2, the latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the action-packed film also stars Kiara Advani and Jr NTR, with the latter making his Bollywood debut as the antagonist. War 2 is expected to be the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan, on the other hand, is busy shooting for Sikandar, an action-drama directed by AR Murugadoss. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj, is slated for release this Eid. Fans are also eagerly awaiting the sequel to his 2014 hit Kick, which has been confirmed by Sajid Nadiadwala earlier this year.
The ad may have been a rare opportunity for the two megastars to come together, but their busy schedules promise much more exciting projects for fans to look forward to.
