Sameera Reddy, the actress who was widely popular during the early 2000s, not because of her acting abilities, but because of her link-up rumours with Jr.NTR.
They starred together in the 2006 Surender Reddy film titled Ashoka, while the film didn't work well at the box office, their pair was the most talked about back then.
She had to leave the Telugu film industry due to the bizarre rumours of her relationship with her co-star, who was a good friend, but the media sensationalized the news, which led to her father questioning her, and the focus shifted from her acting skills to only talking about their relationship.
In one of her old interview with YouTuber Prema Malini, Sameera spoke about her experiences in Telugu film industry and had also opened up about how this link up rumour with Jr. NTR made her leave the industry .
She also mentioned that Devara Star was a reclusive boy and how he got along with her as friends, but the gossip about them made her answerable to her very strict father.
She said, “But we got along and became friends. However, that friendship was blown out of proportion. It became such a big deal that it was too much being spoken, and my family got upset.”
She went on to add, “As much as I have been a bold actress in so many films, my father is still an Andhra Reddy man at the end of the day, and I have to answer to him. Somewhere, he got questioned a lot by his family.”
She also added that the reason for her to move away from the Telugu industry is the over-burdening speculations and rumours about the two and not about her work as an actress.
She said, “They weren't talking about what I am capable of. The focus went from Sameera Reddy to Sameera NTR.”
While the actress is not actively a part of the industry, she is currently a social media influencer and has gained popularity for her workout videos and her bond with her mother in law.

Jr NTR is the pride of Telugu cinema, known for his versatility and the ability to transform into any given role. s is often credited as the man of the masses.
While he is widely popular for his work in cinema, he was once linked with his co-star Sameera Reddy.
The Devara star is currently working on his first Bollywood project War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan, and will be seen in Prashanth Neel's Pan Indian film titled Dragon.
