Young actress Sara Arjun has taken the internet by storm with her first glimpse in upcoming film Dhurandhar. Known for her work in Tamil films majorly, her father Raj Arjun is also a well-known actor in the industry. In a recent interview he spoke about her role in guiding her especially when it comes to films.
Taking to iBollywood Life, Raj Arjun opened up about his daughter Sara's acting prowess, "Acting tips toh bachpan mein deke base banadiya tha maine. Bachpan mein toh maine hi guide kiya. Jab tak ki woh 10 saal ki hui tab tak toh maine hi train kiya usko. Baad mein jab maine dekha ki woh mature hogayi hai, apna performance khud sambhal sakti hai toh oh uspe chod diya (I had already laid the foundation by giving her acting tips during childhood. Back then, I was the one guiding her. Until she turned 10, I was the one who trained her. Later, when I saw that she had matured and could handle her performance on her own, I left it to her.)"
He also further talked about guiding her and helping her with important decision such as choosing the films or the appropriate scripts. "Uska inherent beauty hai natural performance ki. Toh usmein obstacle nhi create karta hun lekin uske saare decision main hi leta hun aur abhi aage aane wale 4-5 saalon mein main hi lunga. Uski script chunna, kaunsi ilm arni hai aur nhi karni hai, kaunsi kahani uske liye suitable hai woh main decide karta hun aur karunga (She has an inherent beauty in her natural performance. So, I don’t create any obstacles in that, but I make all her decisions—and for the next 4-5 years, I will continue to do so. I choose her scripts, decide which films she should do or not do, and determine which stories are suitable for her—that’s something I decide and will keep deciding)."
Before turning six, Sara Arjun made her debut in the entertainment business as a child performer, appearing in a Hindi short film and multiple commercials.
Her big break came in 2010 when she was paired with Chiyaan Vikram in AL Vijay's Deiva Thirumagal. Sara played a six-year-old girl in the highly regarded movie, and her portrayal of the daughter of a mentally challenged father had a profound emotional impact.
Sara gradually transformed from a gifted child performer to a promising young actor as she accumulated an impressive filmography over the years, making appearances in Bollywood productions like 404, Ek Thi Daayan, and Salman Khan's Jai Ho, among others.
Now, at the age of 20, Sara Arjun is back in the spotlight with Dhurandhar, where she stars alongside Ranveer Singh. She was introduced as the female lead in this intense action drama in the first trailer, which was released on July 6. The dramatic visuals and strong performances in the teaser have created a lot of buzz, but the significant 20-year age difference between Sara and Ranveer Singh has also triggered an online debate.

Social media was quick to respond, with many users questioning the casting choice and expressing concern over the recurring trend of significantly younger female leads being paired with much older male actors in mainstream cinema. Despite the criticism, some fans have voiced support for Sara, highlighting her talent and hoping the film provides her with a strong, substantial role.
