Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, is set to premiere in just a few hours. However, it has reportedly run into an unexpected problem. There are rumours in the industry that premiere screenings in other countries could be pushed back because of last-minute editing and problems with getting the content to theaters.
Trade platforms are saying that some places around the world, especially in North America, might not get the final version of the movie in time for the planned premiere shows.
There are reports that the delay is because the film's second half has been reworked, and some theaters still haven't received the re edited version.
If the final movie reel arrives on time, venues with electronic delivery systems may still be able to screen it. However, places that depend on physical hard drives might have to cancel if shipments don't arrive on time.
Changes Related to Censorship That Led to Re-Edits
The new round of edits is said to be based on suggestions from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The board suggested a number of changes to the film, including cutting some violent scenes, even though it got an 'A' rating.

One of the scenes that was said to have been toned down was a graphic beheading scene, along with other intense images. These changes might have led to the last-minute changes that are now affecting the timelines for distribution.
Different markets have different runtime
Reports also say that the version shown in other countries may be a little different from the one that was approved for India. The original cut that was sent in for certification was said to be almost four hours long, but it was shortened a little bit based on CBFC suggestions.
Because of this, the Indian version of the movie is likely to be a few minutes shorter than the version shown in other countries.
Still Scheduled for Release
Even though there is some doubt about some of the premiere shows, the movie is still set to come out around the world on March 18 and then in theaters on March 19.
To make it more appealing to people all over India, the action movie will also be released in several dubbed languages, such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Everyone is now waiting to see if the final version makes it to theaters on time and if the ambitious action drama can live up to its reputation as a big hit.
