Dhanush, who is riding on the success of his latest release Kuberaa, has already started the shooting of his upcoming Tamil film, tentatively titled D54. Directed by Vignesh Raja, known for his films like Por Thozhil, has announced the commencement of the project.
Vignesh took to his Instagram and shared the first official poster of the film, revealing that the crew have started the shoot today. The caption reads, “Happy to announce my second feature film!”
He added in the caption, “Grateful for the journey so far, and we're giving it everything to make sure you have a great time at the theatres. See you soon on the big screen.”
The poster featured an intense look of Dhanush. The actor is seen standing somberly amidst a smouldering cotton field, with flames engulfing the landscape behind him.
However, the official Instagram handle of the film’s production house also shared the same poster with the announcement, “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive. #D54 starring @dhanushkraja - On floors from today. Produced by @dr.isharik.ganesh @VelsFilmIntl. A film by @vignesh_raja A @gvprakash Musical.”
D54 features an ensemble cast including Premalu fame Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, with Jayaram, KS Ravikumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiraj in the pivotal roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh has produced the film under the banner of Vels Film International in association with Think Studios.
