Dhanashree Verma on life after divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal: Clarifying often leads to more speculations...

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and dancer-choreographer Dhanashree Verma, who tied the knot in December 2020, officially ended their marriage on March 20, 2025. The news of their divorce came as a shock to many fans, especially as Chahal is now rumored to be dating popular RJ Mahvash.

Amid swirling speculations and public chatter, Dhanashree has finally opened up about her current mindset and approach to life post-divorce.

In a candid interview with ETimes, Dhanashree spoke for the first time about starting over after parting ways with Chahal. “I will always say and believe that love is a beautiful aspect of life, and your understanding of it evolves over time,” she said, reflecting on her journey.

Dhanashree emphasized that her primary focus right now is herself—her personal growth, professional aspirations, and overall well-being. “For now, I am focusing on my work and career while simultaneously working on my personal development. I am open to what the future holds for me, but for now, it is my career and my family that are of utmost importance to me.”

Addressing the constant scrutiny from the public and media, the choreographer made it clear that she does not let negativity affect her. “The negativity and public criticism have never really bothered me since day 1, and it will never bother me ever,” she said with confidence. Dhanashree also stressed that she prefers tuning out the noise and instead, channels her energy into achieving her goals.

“Ignore the noise,” she advised, calling this her life mantra. “I’m focused on constructive feedback, setting goals, and giving my best till I achieve them.”

Talking about the personal transformation she’s undergone recently, Dhanashree revealed that she has adopted a lifestyle centered around positivity and self-love. “I’ve changed my lifestyle completely. Now, it’s all about self-love, inner strength, discipline, exercise, good food, and surrounding myself with people who look up to me.”

She also shared that the toughest times taught her the most. “I’ve learned the importance of self-reliance and the power I hold. It’s been a journey of self-discovery, and I’m truly grateful for it.”

Dhanashree chose not to directly address the rumors involving Chahal and RJ Mahvash. Explaining her silence, she said, “Clarifying often leads to more speculations, and that’s not something I want to entertain.”

Meanwhile, the couple’s separation was officially confirmed by Chahal’s lawyer: “The court has accepted the joint petition of both parties. The parties are no longer husband and wife.” According to Bar and Bench, Chahal will pay an alimony of Rs 4.57 crore to Dhanashree.
