Anime fans across India finally have their chance to book seats for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, but there’s a hitch, the film will only screen on September 12, 13 and 14.
Advance bookings went live on BookMyShow late this week and tickets are already being snapped up quickly, especially in metro cities.
The Infinity Castle Trilogy marks the final arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, a global phenomenon that has built a massive following in India.
The story kicks off with demon king Muzan Kibutsuji’s surprise attack on the Ubuyashiki estate, thrusting Tanjiro and the Hashira into the shifting maze of the Infinity Castle. It’s the beginning of the end for one of anime’s most successful franchises.
The film had its Japan premiere in August before expanding to the U.S., Canada, the UK, and now India. Screenings here will be available in both Japanese with subtitles and English-dubbed formats.
“Tickets are going fast. We expect most evening shows to be houseful in no time,” a Delhi-based exhibitor told us.
Adding to the buzz, two new theme songs, A World Where the Sun Never Rises by Aimer and Shine in the Cruel Night by LiSA, dropped worldwide on July 18. Both have been trending on anime playlists ever since.
Over the years, fans have followed the franchise through arcs like Mugen Train, Entertainment District, and Swordsmith Village.
After the Hashira Training Arc, the Demon Slayer Corps is now poised for its ultimate showdown with Muzan, in what promises to be an emotional, action-heavy conclusion.
With just three dates on the calendar, fans eager for an early watch will need to move fast.
