Deepika Padukone is all set to make a big comback on the screen after taking a break to embrace motherhood. Other than Kalki 2, the Om Shanti Om actor has now added a Sandeep Reddy Vanga film in her pipeline.

According to reports, the Bollywood legend will star opposite Telugu actor Prabhas in the eagerly awaited Spirit movie, which is helmed by Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Deepika is reportedly getting the highest salary of her career with this well-known project, which is a significant turning point as she makes her big-budget film comeback after taking a recent hiatus to focus on motherhood.

Given Prabhas's star power and Vanga's directing vision, there was already a lot of buzz about Spirit. But the most talked-about topic is Deepika's outrageous fee. She is reportedly among the highest paid individuals in the industry, according to a source that India Today Digital cited.

Although the precise amount is still unknown, insider rumours indicate that it is close to Rs 20 crore. If true, this puts her above a number of her male peers, including husband Ranveer Singh, whose recent film earnings are said to be below this threshold, and makes Spirit one of her most profitable endeavours.

Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt are two of the few female celebrities who have previously been able to command such high fees. Given her track record of box office success with films like Padmaavat, Piku, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Deepika's ascent to this level is viewed as a logical progression.
