In the video Amitabh is seen saying, “Nomoshkar (Hello). Piku, remember? Piku, Bhaskar da, they went on a road trip. Don't remember? Watch this. It was an amazing road trip. It was unpredictable and unforgettable. "There were emotions, laughter and tensions too. Piku is re-releasing at your nearest theatres. Do watch, won't you?"
Fans quickly expressed their delight to watch Piku in theatres as soon as Deepika shared the video. One fan wrote, "One of the best movie I’ve seen ! My mum loves it so much." Another fan commented, "I am going to watch it AGAIN." A user also wrote, "One of the best movie."
Piku, which was directed by Shoojit Sircar, debuted in theatres on May 8, 2015, and is currently getting ready to commemorate ten years since then. In addition to Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, Jisshu Sengupta, Moushumi Chatterjee, and the late Irrfan Khan played significant roles in the movie.
Piku was a commercial success during its first run, earning over Rs 140 crore worldwide and connecting with audiences. Fundamentally, the film masterfully captured the loving and frequently comical dynamics of a father-daughter bond.
