The highly anticipated Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, had a stellar opening at the box office on January 12. According to early reports from Sacnilk, the film raked in Rs 22.50 crore net on its first day of release in India.
This film holds special significance as it marks the 109th film of actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, adding a remarkable milestone to his illustrious career.
According to Sacnilk, Daaku Maharaaj witnessed strong occupancy rates across various show timings in the Telugu region. The film had a 59.89% occupancy during the morning shows, followed by a 64.02% occupancy in the afternoon, and peaked with a 74.61% occupancy during the evening shows.
Daaku Maharaaj tells the story of a brave and fearless 'daaku' who rises to become a 'king without a kingdom.' The film is produced on a massive budget of Rs 100 crore, with Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. He is joined by a talented ensemble cast that includes Bobby Deol as the menacing antagonist.
The film also features three leading ladies—Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Chandhini Chowdary—each playing significant roles. In addition, the movie boasts a dynamic supporting cast featuring Ravi Kishan, Sachin Khedekar, Harshvardhan, and Urvashi Rautela, who makes a special appearance in the film.
