Coldplay delivered an unforgettable performance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, marking their first-ever concert in Gujarat. The packed stadium erupted in cheers as Chris Martin, the band’s charismatic lead vocalist, won hearts by addressing the audience in Gujarati.

He greeted them with, “Tame logo aaje badha sundar laago cho. Hu tamare shahar ma aavyo chu. Kem cho Ahmedabad?” (You all look beautiful today. I’ve come to your city. How are you, Ahmedabad?)

The night reached its crescendo during the band’s iconic track, A Sky Full of Stars. The stadium transformed into a breathtaking galaxy of lights as fireworks illuminated the night sky. Chris Martin urged fans to fully immerse themselves in the moment, saying, “Your phone in your pocket, your hands in the sky.” This prompted a wave of applause and a powerful singalong from the audience.

After the concert, Coldplay expressed their gratitude on their X (formerly Twitter) account, calling it their "biggest-ever concert." The post read, “Totally mind-blowing. Thank you, Ahmedabad. See you again tomorrow – and if you’re in India, please join us on Disney+ Hotstar from 7:45 pm.”

Earlier in the day, the band shared a playful moment on social media, posting a hand-drawn cricket ball with the caption: “I think even Jasprit [Bumrah] might struggle to bowl with this badly drawn ball, but at least it is almost spherical. It is such a pleasure to be here at this amazing stadium and to play in Ahmedabad for the very first time.”
