Vicky Kaushal’s latest film, Chhaava, continues its impressive run at the box office. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, the historical drama has captivated audiences across India. On its third day, Chhaava earned approximately Rs 48.50 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to over Rs 116.5 crore. With this milestone, the film has officially entered the prestigious Rs 100 crore club in just three days.
Strong Opening and Box Office Growth
Chhaava opened with a massive Rs 31 crore on its first day, setting the tone for a strong weekend. The momentum carried into the second day, with the film collecting Rs 37 crore, showing an upward trend due to positive word of mouth. By the third day, the film’s total net collection in India had reached Rs 116.5 crore, making it one of the highest-earning films of the year so far.
Audience Reception and Theatre Occupancy
According to Sacnilk, the film witnessed excellent occupancy across various time slots, particularly in Hindi 2D screenings. On Day 3, the occupancy rates were:
• Morning Shows: 49.82%
• Afternoon Shows: 67.46%
• Evening Shows: 72.95%
• Night Shows: 59.68%
The evening slots recorded the highest turnout, reflecting the film’s growing popularity among moviegoers.
A Major Success for Vicky Kaushal
Chhaava is proving to be a major career milestone for Vicky Kaushal. The film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of some of his recent releases and is on track to become one of his highest-grossing films. As of now, Chhaava stands as his third biggest Hindi net collection film, following Uri: The Surgical Strike (Rs 244.14 crore) and Raazi (Rs 123.74 crore).
What’s Next for Chhaava?
With strong word of mouth and high occupancy rates, Chhaava is expected to maintain its pace in the coming days. If the trend continues, the film could challenge Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing films and possibly surpass Rs 200 crore in the next few weeks. The overseas collection figures are yet to be updated, but expectations remain high.
