  • Release likely delayed until after Tamil Nadu elections in April
  • Vijay's last film before entering politics, high fan interest

It looks like the long fight over Jana Nayagan's certification is coming to an end. There are rumours in the industry that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) revising committee watched the movie with Vijay on Tuesday. Reports say that the censor certificate could be given out in the next ten days.

The movie was supposed to come out on January 9, but it has been pushed back several times because of problems with getting it certified. What started as a normal censoring process turned into a legal battle, which made the creators push back the release date indefinitely and left the project's future in doubt.

Months of Delay Since January

The certification process seems to be coming to an end now that the revising committee has seen the movie. The election calendar may move the release date to May.

Even if certification is given soon, the movie probably won't come out in theaters right away. The Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be held on April 23, and Vijay will run for office for the first time through his party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

Due to the political climate and the model code of conduct that was in place during the election period, the makers should wait until after the elections. Because of this, a theatrical release in May is widely expected, even though no official date has been set.

H. Vinoth directed Jana Nayagan, which many people think is Vijay's last movie before he fully entered politics. Bhagavanth Kesari, a Telugu movie, is said to have inspired the project.

Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Priyamani all play important roles in the movie. Anirudh Ravichander wrote the music.

Prime Video has gotten the rights to stream movies after they come out in theaters. The excitement is still high.

Fans are still very interested in the movie because it is thought to be Vijay's last movie before he becomes a full-time politician. The long delays and the fact that people are still interested in the actor's personal and political life have only made people more interested in the project.

If there are no more problems with the certification process, Jana Nayagan could become one of the most talked-about Tamil movies of the year.
