BTS leader RM has long been respected for his candid remarks, and he won over ARMY's hearts once more in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea. RM talked candidly about his experiences in and out of the military, the camaraderie of the group, and the advice he frequently receives from his fellow members, ranging from his widely shared saxophone moment at Jin's discharge to his sincere gratitude for ARMY.
Although RM acknowledged that his saxophone playing was not flawless, he was pleased that his lighthearted attempt had amused others. Behind the humor, he attributed his continued progress to the Army, referring to them as his "greatest strength" through both highs and lows.
During the interview, RM reflected on how his conversations with the BTS members have evolved over the years. Before enlistment, his go-to line was, “Guys, I have something to say, gather around." But after his military service, his tone shifted to more caring exchanges like, “Hey, aren’t you guys tired?" and “Are you coming today?"
Playfully known as the group’s “Destruction King,” RM also revealed how his fellow members constantly tease and protect him from mishaps. He shared their recurring words of caution, “Don’t do anything—like driving or cooking. When I’m trying something, they say, ‘Namjoon, just stay still. Don’t worry, we will do it.’ I think I hear this the most. ‘Namjoon, you did well, but don’t do anything.’”

RM also addressed BTS’s loyal ARMY directly, acknowledging their unwavering support even during uncertain times. “Your presence isn’t something we take for granted, and for that, we are grateful. The fact that you still believe in us so much, we’ve had a lot of ups and downs, too. You are the foundation we lean on. We can step out into the world once more to do something that’s still our greatest strength.”
