BTS’ agency HYBE has officially launched its headquarters in Mumbai, India. With the launch of HYBE India Private Limited (HYBE India), the global entertainment powerhouse has established its fifth global headquarters, following China, Japan, the United States, and Latin America.
HYBE India, which is headquartered in Mumbai, the centre of India's cultural and entertainment sector, will serve as a vital link between the Indian market and the global music and content ecosystem.
The latest move of coming to India is a part of HYBE's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, which aims to create companies that are suited to local audiences and cultures.
HYBE India will focus on identifying and developing regional talent with the mission, ‘Where voices of India become global stories’. It will provide aspiring talent a platform to connect with audiences around the world.
According to AllKpop, HYBE announced the big move in a statement that reads, “With nearly 185 million users, India’s music streaming market is the second largest in the world, making it an ideal market for our growth strategy.”
The statement continued, “The rapid rise of K-pop in India highlights the country’s potential, and we are excited to deepen our presence here.”
The company will soon start localised auditions and artist training between September and October 2025, aiming to discover homegrown talent who can shine globally.

The company previously launched the girl group KATSEYE through HYBE America, which has been making waves all over the world.
In addition to supporting the regional endeavours of HYBE Music Group artists, HYBE India will conduct auditions for a localised artist training and development program. The new subsidiary intends to smoothly connect India's music scene with the international arena by utilising HYBE's end-to-end experience in artist discovery, production, management, and marketing.
