Yuzvendra Chahal’s sister Kenaa Dwivedi takes subtle dig at his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma: "Time heals everything"

Yuzvendra Chahal’s sister, Kenaa Dwivedi, recently shared a heartfelt message for her brother on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, taking an indirect swipe at his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

In her Instagram post, she praised Chahal for respecting women and remaining calm even when faced with negativity.

She wrote that he is a man who treats every woman with respect, calling them “ma’am,” protects the dignity of those around him, and chooses silence when the world gets harsh. She added that even when she asks him why he doesn’t speak up, he reminds her that time heals everything and silence can speak the loudest.

“You’re also the man who truly respects women, the one who addresses every woman as “ma’am," who protects the dignity of every soul around him, and who chooses silence when the world turns mean. Even when I get upset and ask, “Why don’t you say something?" you always remind me that sometimes, time heals everything and silence speaks the loudest," she wrote.

She added, "People who know your heart, your character, and your soul feel that protective energy, that warmth and strength that makes everyone around you feel safe. Thank you for every teaching, every laugh, and every lesson you’ve given me. I know I’ll make mistakes along the way, but I also know you’ll be there to bring me back on track, just like you always do."

Interestingly, This message comes just days after Dhanashree, Yuzvendra's ex wife's show Rise and Fall ended. On the show, she spoke openly about her relationship with Chahal, discussing their engagement, marriage, and eventual split.

Dhanashree told Arjun Bijlani that their marriage was a blend of love and arrangement. She explained that it began as an arranged setup because he wanted to marry without dating, and she hadn’t been planning anything like that.

She said Chahal was sure about her from the beginning, while she needed convincing. “I got convinced due to the amount of love that was poured into the whole process. We did our Roka (engagement) in August, and then we got married in December. During that time, I travelled with him, and we stayed together. I started seeing subtle changes in his behaviour. There is a difference between how people act when they want something compared to when they get it."

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma tied the knot in December 2020 after they met during COVID-19 lockdown through online dance classes. However, they eventually ended up getting divorced in March this year.
