Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty starrer Welcome to the Jungle will soon arrive in the theatres. The makers have recently sent the fans into a frenzy with the latest update on the film.

The next instalment of the Welcome franchise, Welcome to the Jungle, has an official release date set by its creators. The comedy film will hit theatres on June 26 this summer.

The announcement was accompanied by the picture of the cast and crew of the film, which went on the floor in December 2023. The picture featured Suneil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal and others.

Previously, Akshay highlighted the scope of the movie in a special Christmas letter sent to fans earlier. Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, and other members of the film's enormous ensemble were among those he wished viewers a Merry Christmas from the giant cast of Welcome to the Jungle" in an Instagram video.

In the video, Akshay was seen sporting two different looks: one with long grey hair and a beard, and the other in a chic, action-ready avatar, implying that he would play the head of two opposing gangs. As the characters got closer to one another, the Christmas-themed video also included a joyous performance of the well-known Welcome theme song.

The latest announcement came a year after it was reported that the production was halted due to financial troubles. The reports also stated that multiple actors quit the franchise after the shoot was cancelled for the third time. However, things went back to normal, and the actors returned to the set.

The film features an enormous cast of 30, including Rajpal Yadav, Johnny lever, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Daler Mehndi, Farida Jalal, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Kiran Kumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh, Nawab Shah, Urvashi Rautela, Puneet Issar, Arjun Firoz Khan, Late Pankaj Dheer, Sudesh Berry, Hemant Pandey, Zakir Hussain, Sayaji Shinde among others.
