Fans have been eagerly awaiting Thamma, the fifth instalment in Maddock's horror-comedy universe, since the success of Stree 2. The makers have recently created a buzz among the fans with the release of the Thamma trailer.
However, the trailer fell short of expectations and has been dubbed as "underwhelming" by the internet. Several fans expressed their disappointment over the trailer's poor VFX and bad storyline.
One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “#Thamma misfires, underwhelming. The audio teaser had me more hyped then this trailer.”

#Thamma trailer looks very abrupt, quality of trailer is high interms of visuals and story. Exciting one for the diwali festival. There should have been another movie in diwali because thamma doesn’t have any star value faced actor.— Wig Seller (@hurrahay_) September 26, 2025
A third person tweeted, “Maddock, You literally had such a great song in the announcement video of Thama titled rahe na rahe ham but you went with cringe dami un gerr in the trailer. Disappointed!”

#ThammaTrailer Disappointed ☹️ #Thamma trailer is big letdown. Not a single scare throughout, instead it’s filled with lame jokes and forced meme comedy. The VFX looks weak, the story feels missing, and the whole vibe falls flat.#Thama @MaddockFilmspic.twitter.com/PbWL2mPA7V— Movie_Reviews (@MovieReview_Hub) September 26, 2025
