Tamannaah Bhatia is feeling nostalgic, and her fans are more than happy to take that trip down memory lane with her.
Joining the viral ‘2016’ throwback trend, the actor recently shared a series of unseen photographs that revisit a time when her career was at a defining high and Baahubali was capturing the nation’s imagination.
Posting the pictures on Instagram, Tamannaah Bhatia offered a personal peek into her life during that unforgettable phase.
From intense horse-riding lessons and rehearsal sessions to quiet moments spent unwinding after long shoot days, the photo dump reflected both the hard work and lighter moments that shaped those years.
Alongside the images, she wrote, “1. Horse riding classes for Bahubali 2. 2. Practice for the performance. 3. Pebble and I, unwinding after a long, hectic shoot day. 4. Celebrating with my parents on a special award function night. 5. Getting a haircut, and thought this lilac wedge looked cool. 6. Me at a candy shoot… smiling at all the food. 7. This haircut was cool in 2016. 8. Forever in love with floral dresses… and yes, the 2016 pout. 9. Even in a gown, odd faces are non-negotiable… red carpet or not. 10. Photoshoot during Bahubali promotions… this pose just felt cute."
The photographs resonated deeply with fans, especially those who remember the impact of Baahubali, the blockbuster film that went on to become one of Indian cinema’s most iconic projects. Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the film marked a turning point not only for the industry but also for Tamannaah Bhatia’s career.
While nostalgia filled her feed, Tamannaah Bhatia also has plenty to celebrate in the present. Her dance number Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2 has officially crossed one billion views on YouTube. Marking the milestone, she shared unseen behind-the-scenes clips from the shoot, giving fans a glimpse of the fun on set.
In one video, choreographer Vijay Ganguly praises the shot and suggests another take, to which Tamannaah Bhatia cheekily replies, “No!" Another clip shows her dancing as Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana join in.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Tamannaah Bhatia spoke about the song’s unexpected reach, sharing, “I can’t tell you the number of mothers that have called me up and said, ‘My child will eat food only if he hears Aaj Ki Raat’". She added that while children may not understand the lyrics, the music clearly brings them joy.
Looking ahead, Tamannaah Bhatia is preparing for VVAN: Force of the Forest, a mythology-inspired thriller directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar.
The film, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra, is set in the forests of Central India and is slated for release on May 15.
