Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has often spoken about how deeply fatherhood has changed him, and a recent moment from his personal life offered fans a tender reminder of that bond.
The actor, who is a proud father to Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor, recently shared that he has embarked on his first-ever solo boys’ trip with his younger son—an experience he clearly holds close to his heart.
Taking to Instagram, Shahid Kapoor posted a quiet, intimate photograph of himself holding Zain Kapoor’s hand as they walked together. There were no grand backdrops or flashy details—just a father and son sharing a moment that felt deeply personal.
Alongside the photo, the actor penned a heartfelt note that spoke volumes about what the trip meant to him, “Some things are too special to even try to explain. They speak for themselves…it’s a privilege to be a father. Our first solo all boys trip. Etched in my memory forever.”
The post instantly struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised the actor for valuing presence and connection over spectacle.
Despite his immense popularity, Shahid Kapoor has consistently chosen to raise his children away from the glare of constant media attention.
He has often emphasised his desire to give Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor a childhood rooted in normalcy, even while acknowledging that complete anonymity may not be possible in the long run.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, the actor shared his honest thoughts on parenting in the public eye:
“I want them to stay as close to normalcy as they can… But beyond the point, it is what it is. As they grow older, they will become more aware, but we don’t do anything to bring it up. If any questions come up, we try to answer them in the best way that we can as parents; that’s it. It is what it is.”
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is preparing for the release of O Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Set in the 1990s, the film draws inspiration from the life of gangster Hussain Ustara and his rivalry with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Aruna Irani, Vikrant Massey, Farida Jalal, and Tamannaah Bhatia, and promises a mix of crime, romance, and emotional depth.
However, the film has also found itself amid controversy. In an interview with India Today, Sanober Shaikh, daughter of Hussain Ustara, raised concerns over how her father’s relationship with Sapna Didi is portrayed. She said, “She was like a sister to my baba, but as per the film, they are showing a romantic angle, which is absolutely wrong. We are demanding a pre-screening for the film so we can understand what it is all about. If they are taking my father’s story, they should keep it real. We are ready to fight the case till the end.”
