Excitement is already growing outside of Shah Rukh Khan's famous Mumbai home, Mannat, as the 60th birthday draws near.
For fans, the superstar’s birthday is nothing short of a festival, and this year, it’s set to be even more special.
Passers-by and fans have spotted the actor’s residence being decorated ahead of the big day. A video shared by Pinkvilla on Instagram shows preparations in full swing, with workers setting up a platform — the same one from which SRK greets the massive crowd of fans that gathers every year.
While Mannat remains the heart of Shah Rukh’s connection with his fans, the actor is currently not residing there as the bungalow undergoes major renovations.
Reports suggest that he and his family have temporarily moved into luxury apartments nearby and are expected to celebrate his birthday at their Alibaug farmhouse, surrounded by close friends and family.
However, SRK being SRK, he hasn’t forgotten his fans. During a recent interactive session on X (formally Twitter), the superstar responded to questions about his birthday plans, his approach to turning 60, and whether he’d continue his much-loved tradition of greeting fans outside Mannat.
When one fan asked if he would make an appearance outside the bungalow this year, Shah Rukh replied with his trademark wit: “Of course but may have to wear a hard hat!!!” — referring to the ongoing renovation.

In another light-hearted moment, when a fan cheekily requested a room at Mannat now that they were in Mumbai for his birthday, SRK joked, “Mannat mein toh mere paas bhi room nahi hai aaj kal…. Bhaade pe reh raha hoon!!!”
Every year, thousands of fans from across the world flock to Bandra on 2 November, gathering outside Mannat to catch a glimpse of their favourite star as he waves, smiles, and thanks them for their love.
The sight of SRK standing on his terrace, arms outstretched, has become an iconic image of his birthday celebrations.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh is gearing up for his next big release, King, directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously helmed Pathaan. The action drama will also star his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
