Rashmika Mandanna talks about having kids in the future

As Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s engagement continues to dominate headlines, the actress has opened up about something even more heartfelt. She has shared her thoughts on motherhood and her protective instincts toward her future children.

The Animal star recently shared in a conversation with Gulte that she already feels an intense emotional connection to her unborn children.

Rashmika said, “I’m not even a mother, but I already feel…I know I’m gonna have kids, and I love that that’s going to happen. But I already feel something so strongly for these little humans that are not even born yet. I want to do everything for them. I want to keep them so safe, so protected. And if I’m supposed to get into a war, I need to be fit enough to go to war for them. I’m already thinking about that.”

Her remarks come shortly after reports confirmed her engagement to Vijay Deverakonda on October 4, 2025. While the couple has remained tight-lipped about their relationship, sources close to them suggest a wedding may be on the cards next year.

Reflecting on her personal and professional journey, Rashmika explained that she has mapped out her life in stages. “I always had in mind, twenty to thirty, it’s like put your head down and keep working. Because that’s what society has put in our heads. We need to make a living, we need to have our own money. I knew that thirty to forty was always going to be a work-life balance, and I have to ensure that it happens,” she shared.

Rashmika has had a packed year with major releases like Chhaava, Sikandar, Kuberaa, and Thamma. Her next film, The Girlfriend, hits theatres on November 7, 2025, followed by Cocktail 2 and Mysaa.
